Prelims as you all know is the first and for many is the toughest stage of this cycle. So we try to figure out all about PRELIMS in simple terms-

GS PAPER 1 of Prelims consist of 7 Major topics -

1. HISTORY( Ancient, Medieval, Modern, Art & Culture).

2. POLITY

3. GEOGRAPHY

4. ECONOMICS

5. ENVIRONMENT

6. SCIENCE- Gen Science and Science & Technology.

7. Current Affairs.

Let's start talk about each subject.

Note*- We all witnessed the tremendous changes in UPSC Prelims 2023 , so all my suggestion will be based according to present context.

1. HISTORY - In history now you can't leave any topics like we all used to do before as leaving Ancient , Medieval or Art & Culture.

   So let's Start with ANCIENT HISTORY-

   ANCIENT HISTORY - One single Source i.e, R.S.SHARMA (11th Class NCERT).

   MEDIEVAL HISTORY- Only SATISH CHANDRA ( 11th Class NCERT).

   MODERN HISTORY- SPECTRUM ( Same as before).

   ART & CULTURE - FINE ARTS ( 11th Class NCERT ), Selected Topics from NITIN SINGHANIA Book.

   DO's- In 2023 paper have a lot of question from Ancient and Medieval so now we can't leave anything but we don't have to become Historian so read just single source cover the basics and rest will be done by test.

   Dont's- Do not collect nor read multiple sources.

2. POLITY- This time paper was factual in nature in terms of Polity, but this does not mean anything to us.

   Sources- NCERT( 11th Class- Indian Constitution at work for basics) LAXMIKANT(Same as before)

   Do's- This time you should also focus on some factual data which was given in laxmikant.
